SEALINK - Updated
November 2025. The Parish Council Chairman gave a presentation to the Planning Inspectorate (PINS) Open Hearing for the Sealink Examination. This was held on Wednesday 5th November.
July 2025 - Updated deadline to register your interest - a message from the Planning Inspectorate.
Due to an error in publishing the applicant’s notice under regulation 9 of the Applications: Prescribed Forms and Procedures Regulations 2009, another relevant representation period will open for the Sea Link project from Friday 18 July 2025. The deadline for all relevant representations is 23:59pm Monday 18 August 2025. This relevant representation period is open to all persons who have not already made a valid representation during the previous period ending 23:59pm Monday 23 June 2025.
Relevant representations can be made using the online form which will be available on this website from Friday 18 July 2025, or by requesting a hard copy form via our project email address southeastanglialink@planninginspectorate.gov.uk or by calling 0303 444 5000. All completed registration forms must be received by the Planning Inspectorate before the close of the deadline.
May 2025 - Register to have your say. The Planning Inspectorate (PI) has invited organisations and individuals to register as interested parties to allow participation in the PI Examination of the Sea Link project. The Parish Council will register and recommends that residents also register as the additional traffic and construction works required for the Sea Link project will impact our area already suffering from the SZC works. The more individuals who register as interested parties to oppose the project, the harder it is for the Planning Inspectorate to approve it. You can find information and guidance, and subscribe to receive Planning Inspectorate updates at the Sea Link page on the National Planning Inspectorate website (project EN020026) and at this link: Sea Link - Project information
