Returning NHS Medical Equipment

Local NHS and Social Care Services lose thousands of pounds each year due to missing equipment. Rural Community Responders

Rural Community Responders are a group of volunteers trained in Basic Life Support who are called by the East of England Ambulance NHS Trust to attend 999 calls in the Suffolk Coastal area. More information is available on the Rural Community Responders website.

Suffolk Careline

Suffolk Careline is a not for profit organisation working in partnership with Suffolk County Council to provide a 24 hour monitoring and emergency response telecare service. Clients have a alarm unit and pendant to press if help is needed.

Telecare systems are available from several providers, however this is the only service that provides an emergency response service throughout Suffolk for the elderly and vulnerable adults and is particularly useful in rural areas. When a client presses the pendant they will be visited by a responder trained in first aid, manual handling and has a lifting cushion in case the client has fallen. The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and we aim to attend a call within 45 minutes.
